Created as a way to spiral the Common Core Math Curriculum, these calendar pieces support students in practicing multiple concepts throughout the month. This month includes the concepts of parallel and perpendicular, subtraction across zeros, and multiplication and division fact families. Students may complete these activities as independent work or collaborative learning opportunities during Math Workshop or Guided Math. Instructions for setting up student notebooks as well as graphic organizers and support posters needed are included. Using these calendar pieces will give students multiple opportunities for practice and increase the retention rate for these concepts.
