Description

This 3rd grade math practice growing workbook is already packed with 3rd grade math vocabulary and content and is getting bigger!

I will be adding a minimum of 4 pages each month starting November 2018 until March 2018, which is at least 16 more pages on top of the large amount that it already is at around 30 pages worth of worksheets and vocabulary cards.

Each page of Level UP Math is designed for self-guided and self-paced learning and practice. The page contains useful content such as vocabulary, tips, and even mini lessons. The set-up of the activities is designed to encourage each student to read all of the directions before beginning. This set up promotes and supports reading skills and comprehension. My students love the animal characters on each page as well!

These pages cover a wide range of math content that cover essential and foundational 3rd grade math skills. They are great for exposure to new skills and also for review.

I have found they are best used as homework practice and the letter to parents page describes it as such, but can be used as a mini workbook or early finisher work.

The pages are set up as “Levels” to help further engage students. There is a cute rainforest themed character on each level that encourages the student to do well.

Math Ideas and Characters at each Level are as follows:

Congo River Basin

Level 1- Place Value–Gabby the Gorilla

Level 2- Place Value– Chuck the Chimpanzee

+Use the tracking sheet to see how students did when they completed a Level and what content they have mastered/could use some remediation in. These really allow students to work and progress at their own pace.

Students in my classroom can’t wait to move to the next level and beg me to take them home for homework! I’ve had students also tell me how proud their parents are that they are already on a certain level!

Amazing resource, if you don't own it I would highly recommend it! All of Math Animal's resources are perfectly aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning, which makes them a must have for VA teachers. Looking forward to more level up math resources. They've proven to be effective for me in my room.
