Description
Your third graders will love this self-checking, jungle-themed math puzzle activity to review number representations as they prepare for the upcoming math STAAR test! This product supports the following math standards:
TEKS: 3.2C: Represent a number on a number line as being between two consecutive multiples of 10, 100, 1,000 or 10,000.
Here is how it works:
Students solve 12 questions, snip the picture squares that correspond to each question, then stick them on the grid on top of the answer. When finished, they will have put together the puzzle and can color it (as an early finisher activity). This activity is self checking - all of the answers are provided on the grid, so if the answer is not on the grid, the student knows he/she needs to rework the problem. I have included detailed instructions for printing and playing (with pictures).
This activity is highly engaging and great to use as a turn-in work-product activity or to laminate for reuse as a spiral activity in math stations.
