Description
Students will apply their understanding of rounding and addition/subtraction as they work through a performance task. These performance tasks are set up in similar fashion to the CAASPP Assessment and can be used in the following ways:
1. Prepare your students for CAASPP
2. Assign as a End of Unit Performance Task
3. Use throughout the year to enrich or extend the learning of your students
Two Performance Tasks are included in this resource:
1. Building a Robot - Students will use rounding, estimation, and addition/subtraction concepts to price out the materials needed to build a robot.
2. Reading Competition - Students will add and subtract three digit numbers to track the pages read in a school wide Reading Competition
Both tasks can be printed for students or assigned to their Google Classroom through a Google Doc. **To Access the Google Doc, please click on the link on the front page of the document.
