In these unprecedented times, it can be challenging to teach hands on science in the traditional way that we all know and love. I put these products together into a bundle to help teachers who are distance learning find creative ways to fit science in. This bundle includes 6 presentations (each has 2 formats: PowerPoint and Google Slides for use with Google Classroom™). These presentations are interactive and engaging for students and can be assigned for independent work. A notes page is included with each that can be used as an assignment or assessment. Answer keys for these are included.
In addition to the presentations, there are 6 Science At Home mini units matching the topics from the presentations. These products are also in 2 formats (PowerPoint and Google Slides for use with Google Classroom™.) These mini units have 4 components: A reading passage with questions, a video to watch, an assignment to do, and an experiment to try at home. An extra page with additional links is also provided if students want to investigate the topic more.
These units are aligned to 3rd grade NGSS science standards. By using these materials during your distance learning time, you will be engaging your students in science, even at a distance.
