Check out a video preview here: What are 4 Point Assessments?
NAfME Guitar Council Best Practices Outline for Year One (Beginning) Guitar Class
3. read standard music notation and play on all six strings in first position up to the fourth fret
You will receive a PDF with all the examples to check for mastery with the appropriate point values as assigned to each exercise.
The idea is that each student must earn 4 Points to show mastery. This gives them the opportunity to decide to play many simpler exercises or less longer exercises for more points. Students can pick and choose which exercises to perform until they have earned 4 Points.
As the teacher you may decide how students will perform these. Will they do it individually for the teacher, or maybe record a video to submit.
As the teacher you may also decide on how or if they can re-assess. Will students have to re-assess the same exercises, or can they change their minds if they need to adjust the difficulty.
