NO PREP NEEDED! Use this awesome resource to help get your math class started for each day of the month!!
This is a fun and interesting resource you can use on any day of the month! Use this to start your class everyday, or you can end your lessons with it too! Or...you can use this if you feel like the students need some extra practice.
On this file, there is a bunch of different types of math problems to solve for each day of the month.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE IN “SLIDESHOW MODE” to make this interactive.
(IN PRESENT MODE) On Slide #5, you will see the main page of calendar dates for the month. Click on the day of the month you want to see.
As you continue to click the screen, you will see various information appear on the screen. This includes:
1. Math Vocab word of the day- This is to review/teach new word to the class. (Some days have a “Quote Of The Day”)
2. Math Squares for the students to try to complete
3. Numbers in Words
4. Mystery Number Of The Day
5. Pattern: Fill in the missing numbers.
6. Click the screen and “Mack the Robot” will reveal all the correct answers for all the problems on the screen.
Feel free to add a timer to the activity!
- OF COURSE, feel free to use this to best fit the needs of your class.
- Some suggestions/ideas to consider. (There are different ways to use this!)
- For each day, you can have each student work on all the math problems shown on the screen, or have them work in partners.
- For each day, you can assign each group/table a certain type of math problem to complete for the day. (EX: Group A completes the “Math Squares”, while Group B completes the “Mystery Number Of The Day”, etc.) Then, the following day, have each group rotate to complete a different type of Math Problem on the screen.
- Make it competitive… See which group/table completes the problems first.
- HAVE FUN WITH IT! ADD IN YOUR OWN IDEAS!
NOTE: The product you purchase here is a PDF File, which comes with a link to the Google Slides file. This lets you copy the file into your own Google Drive. This allows you to fully edit the file, in case you feel like adding anything!
