4th Grade Go Math Lessons Bundle

Chapter 1 – Place Value (8 lessons)

Chapter 2- Multiply by 1-digit Numbers (11 lessons)

Chapter 3 – Multiply by 2-digit Numbers (7 lessons)

Important Notes to Understand Before Buying:

*These are all Power point resources. It has 218 slides. You can either print out the slides to teach from them or use them on an active or smart board with a pen.

*You can edit the slides! It is not a PDF. Once you download, you can edit, remove, or add slides! Or keep as is :) It is a life-long tool to keep!

*This resource can be used in the classroom or REMOTELY! :) You can upload it to your google drive and it should also convert to Google slides. (BUT the fonts or format may change.)

*I encourage you to look at my preview before buying this resource. The Preview gives you a look at 58 out of the 218 slides.

*I have a free product in my store with this similar power point approach from a different grade and chapter so you can take a look to see some of my work.

*Before buying or using, find out how flexible you are allowed to be with this program and what you are allowed or not allowed to use as lessons.

*This product is best suited for NEW teachers or any teachers who do not have guidance or support with this program and are looking for that guidance. It can also be helpful for teachers who have already been teaching but are new to the grade. If you have been teaching for years and are ONLY allowed to teach from the GO Math book WITHOUT scaffolding or modifying lessons, this product may not be best suited for you, but if you desire to try a different approach, you are more than welcome to purchase at your disclosure.

* I do sell each chapter separately in my store if you rather have that option than buying a bundle. The bundle for all 3 chapters cost less than buying each chapter separately :)

I am a teacher who teaches in New York, Queens from the Go Math curriculum. It is important to note that not all schools follow the same approach or teaching practices. At my school, we have a high population of ELL learners as well as students with special needs or accommodations. The I do , We do, and You do is the model we follow at my school to teach math and a similar model other schools use as well, at least in New York City.

This product includes problems from the go math book, but also uses teacher made up examples to teach from.

*You will still need to have a K-6 Think Central account which is where you can find extra worksheets for the lessons as well as the Reteach and Enrich worksheets.

*This resource is for educators and schools that follow the Go Math curriculum but have the room and flexibility to teach concepts a bit different than just what the book has alone. You should still use the teacher workbook for Go Math that goes with this resource. It aligns with the book nicely, but we all know as teachers, we will always need to make adjustments and get other sources. This resource again, serves to be your lesson plans and what you can model with in front of students on a smart board. I am hoping that it saves you some time on lesson planning and helps you understand how to teach a math lesson from Go Math for a similar population of students.

For these chapters, I also highly recommend having single digit multiplication drills or centers in your classroom math center in addition to the content.

Overall, this Power Point bundle includes:

- 26 lessons from the Go Math Chapters 1, 2 and 3 units.

- 218 slides, including anchor chart images to support lessons.

-a problem of the day for each lesson. A POD can be done independently in their notebooks, OR you can have students work in partnerships to solve the problem together, OR have a whole Group class discussion (math talk).

-a teaching objective for each lesson.

-an I do slide for each lesson, which is the content you will first teach and model. The slide does not have the answers on. It has the examples from the book or a teacher made up model, and there is space on the slide for you to model the work on.

- a We Do slide for each lesson, which is the example you will have students try with you after you model the concept. The slide does not have the answers on. It has the examples from the book or a teacher made up model, and there is space on the slide for you to model the work on together.

- a You Do slide for each lesson, which is a quick check students do on their own before sending them off to do work independently so you know which students to differentiate for or pull into a small group.

-an independent work assignment color coded.

-Math journal question for students to work on when they are finished with all their work.

- A Teacher self-reflection slide: After you complete the chapter, you can take notes on what you did well and worked well for you and your students. You can also take notes on what you think you can do better for next year or how to better prepare based on what you saw this year in the classroom. Look back at these notes before you teach this unit again. This is so that you come back stronger the following year :)

- A simple grade book on the last two slides to enter student grades for a pretest (if your school does those before a chapter starts), the mid-chapter checkpoint grade, and the post test.

My only aim is to support teachers by removing a load off their shoulders and give them more room to focus on maybe differentiating rather than using all of their energy to write or create ready to go lesson plans. These are ready to go slides. I know how much time teachers spend on lessons, so now that you have these, you can devote more time to maybe creating or setting up centers in your classroom. Best of luck to you all!

*Check out my store for other chapters in a similar format and chapter math tasks for students to solve and show their conceptual understanding (in word format).

Thank you for these ratings Pamela :). Unfortunately I moved grades and I was not able to complete the rest as I started prepping for 5th grade. Also, at my school, we selected a few lessons from each chapter from 10-13 for the rest of the year and sometimes instead of moving forward, we retaught lessons from earlier chapters that we felt were taught too quickly because of the state tests. I hope this answers your inquiry about the remaining chapters, but I do appreciate your feedback. Have a great year ahead :)

This has been very helpful in planning and presenting my lessons. It keeps me on track and I love that it has the I Do, We Do, You Do sections. I've had to tweak the pages numbers since they didn't make our current copy but these have been great so far.

I am so glad this was helpful for you Jen :) I hope you are able to reuse this content in the future. I am sorry about the page numbers. My school orders the same edition every year so the page numbers for us are always the same or almost very similar. and of course never be afraid to modify the I do, We do or You do for your own class :). Thank you so much!

Marwan, Thank you for the purchase and the support. I hope you are able to use this to help model lessons from Go Math. Was there anything I could have done better or improved on? Would love to know how I can make this product better! -Stephanie

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Compare two multi-digit numbers based on meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.
Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place.
