  • 16 multiplication lessons - basic multiplication/division, factors and multiples, multiplication fact fluency, prime and composite numbers, properties of multiplication, multiplicative comparison problems, key words in multiplication and division word problems, multiplying numbers with zeros, strategies for multiplying larger numbers - partial products (also called "the box method") and the standard algorithm for 2 and 3 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers and 2 digits by 2 digits
  • 13 long division lessons - basic division, using base ten blocks, equal sharing, partial quotients ("big 7" or "lucky 7"), the standard algorithm, and interpreting remainders in word problems
  • 13 fraction lessons - an introduction to what fractions are and how to write them, what are equivalent fractions, writing equivalent fractions, comparing fractions, simplifying fractions, improper fractions and mixed numbers, decomposing/adding/subtracting fractions and multiplying fractions by whole numbers
  • 4 decimal lessons - writing tenths and hundredths in decimal notation, comparing decimals, estimating decimals using visual models, adding and subtracting tenths and hundredths
  • 10 geometry lessons - naming and classifying lines and angles, measuring angles, classifying polygons (especially triangles and quadrilaterals), symmetry
  • 12 measurement lessons - the metric system and the customary system for length, capacity, and mass, money word problems, elapsed time word problems, and fraction line plots
  • 3 patterns lessons - shape patterns, number patterns, and number patterns using input/output tables (function machines)

Each lesson is editable so you can tweak them to fit your needs. Be sure to check the preview files for a closer look at the lessons included in this bundle.

As a virtual teacher, these slides were very animated and easy to follow. Students are able to follow along and practice at home while we use these slides during our whole group math time.

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
