Description

A great way to quickly pre-assess, assess, or check your students' understanding.

4th Grade Math Checkpoints - Operations- basic multiplication and division, algebraic thinking

Includes:

  1. Multiplication as a Comparison
  2. Multiplication and Division in Word Problems
  3. Multiples and Factors
  4. Number and Shape Patterns
  5. Multi-Step Problems

Each Checkpoint Includes:

  • 5 questions each
  • a range of Bloom's Taxonomy (more than surface level problems)
  • room to work out each question
  • fill-in-the blank

Does your district use iReady math curriculum?

If your answer is yes, this resource aligns well with the end of lesson assessments. This Checkpoint goes along with Unit 2 iReady - 4th Grade Math. The checkpoints are similar to the end of lesson assessments. Use these check points:

  • before the lesson assessment as a pre-test
  • as homework

All work as a way to check your students' understanding.

Do you not have iReady? That's okay, these checkpoints are aligned with the 4th grade California Common Core Standards and are of good use.

No prep! Just print and assess!

**As of now this is only a paper/printable resource.

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.
Multiply or divide to solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison, e.g., by using drawings and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem, distinguishing multiplicative comparison from additive comparison.
Solve multistep word problems posed with whole numbers and having whole-number answers using the four operations, including problems in which remainders must be interpreted. Represent these problems using equations with a letter standing for the unknown quantity. Assess the reasonableness of answers using mental computation and estimation strategies including rounding.
