FAQ

  • Do students need to have Gmail™ accounts? NO! Anyone with internet access and a tablet, computer, or even phone can complete the breakout. The escape room is automated by a Google Form™, but does not require the teacher or students to have Google™ accounts.
  • How long will this take? That is the hardest question as the answer varies depending on each classroom, student, or group. Some students with a firm grasp on the concepts covered in this escape room will be able to complete the challenge very quickly (20-30 minutes), others will take longer. The majority of students will take about 45-60 minutes. Requiring students to use the recording form will increase the amount of time required to complete the puzzles. The form will not save student data, so if you are worried about your students not finishing on time, simply have them write their answers on scratch paper. They can then come back and quickly re-enter their answers and pick up where they left off.
  • Will students have to search the web to figure out the puzzles? NO! All of the information needed will be provided in the Google Form™. The math in this activity is all standards-based.
  • Can this be used for distance learning? Yes! Digital escape rooms are perfect for in-person, virtual, or hybrid models!

Digital escape rooms provide engaging skills practice, a fun review for test prep, or a quick plan for a sub. This activity encourages student engagement and cooperative learning.

***This product is not designed to be a review of all fourth grade math standards! This is a standards-based product created to keep kids engaged. While many key fifth-grade standards are required to solve these puzzles, it is in no way designed to be a comprehensive review of 4th grade math requirements.

Please see the details for each product & ask any questions before purchasing!

*I hesitate to call this a "Growing Bundle" as I do not have definite plans or a timeline to create additional 4th grade escape rooms. However, most new 4th grade escape rooms I create will be added to this bundle. The exceptions will be escape rooms designed specifically for religious holidays such as Christmas and Easter, "Brain Rot" activities and items in our Mini Math Missions product line including task cards and escape rooms.

My students loved these! We have completed 2 of them and they are begging for more! I let them do it with a partner as some are difficult and it is good to have another brain for this!

I absolutely love these escape rooms and so do my students! I am very familiar with them from purchasing them in the past and they are the only escape rooms I will use. They are easy to put on to the kids' devices and they love solving the mysteries. We are doing the St. Patrick's one this week. One of my favorite things on TPT. This bundle does not disappoint!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
