Description

This task cards set contains 24 task cards to help your students practice fact families and become more fluent with multiplication facts. There are a variety of question types which helps prepare students for the types of problems they will encounter on standardized tests!

These task cards ask students to:

-Complete a partially provided fact family (increasing in difficulty)

-Generate a complete fact family for a given multiplication or division equation

-Generate a complete fact family for a given set of numbers

-Generate a complete fact family for a given array

-Solve problems involving fact families that have only 2-3 equations (because 2 factors are the same, or because 1 is a factor)

There is a blank recording sheet provided for your students to record their answers. There is also an answer key which can be used by teachers or students to check work. The answer key is formatted exactly the same as the recording sheet to make grading quick and easy.

Ideas for use:

Task cards are great for use with guided math groups, at math centers, as at home activities, for early finishers, or for differentiating in 3rd and 5th grades. You might also find them to be useful as a supplement to those math lessons which have fewer practice problems than others. I love the idea of pulling a few cards here and there from previous used sets of cards to review and keep concepts fresh! Just assign a problem to a group or the whole class.

Note: This set is also included in my Operations and Algebraic Thinking bundle. Click on the link below to view the 260 card bundle.

This is a great resource for my math small group time. When I am pulling students to reinforce a particular concept, others are working on station work with cards such as these.
