This unit begins with your students adding and subtracting 3-digit numbers using hands-on materials and the place value chart alongside the standard algorithm. As the unit progresses, supports are eliminated and numbers increase so that your students are confidently able to use the standard algorithm to add or subtract numbers to 1,000,000.

This intervention resource is designed to support you with everything you will need to intervene for struggling learners who have not yet developed an understanding of addition and subtraction with regrouping during whole group instruction.
