This activity features:

3 Extended Facts/Fact Family Triangle Questions - Help get students warmed up and thinking about division & multiplication


4 Multiplication Puzzles - Provides additional practice with correctly setting up partitioned rectangles


2 Matching Problems - Students match the algorithm to the partitioned rectangle


3 Practice Problems - Students decompose the multi-digit number, then set up and complete the partitioned rectangle in order to obtain a solution


2 Multiplication Word Problems - Students set up the problem and complete it without support


*Students should have some exposure to the partitioning rectangles strategy for multiplication prior to completing this activity.
