This resource includes 14 no-prep math games for practicing these 4th grade place value skills! You will also receive instructions and answer keys for each math place value game.

⭐️ Recognizing that a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right:

  • Comparing the values of adjacent digits
  • Multiplying multi-digit whole numbers by 10 and 100 {i.e. 7,650 x 10 = 76,500}
  • Dividing multi-digit whole numbers by 10 and 100 {i.e. 7,650 / 10 = 765}
  • Multiplying and dividing multi-digit whole numbers by 10 and 100

⭐️ Reading and writing multi-digit whole numbers:

  • Writing multi-digit numbers in word form
  • Writing multi-digit numbers in expanded form
  • Writing multi-digit numbers in standard form, word form, expanded form, and base 10 form

⭐️ Comparing multi-digit whole numbers:

  • Determining which one of two multi-digit numbers is greater
  • Determining which one of two multi-digit numbers is less
  • Comparing two multi-digit numbers using <, >, and =

Game setup is simple!

Print out the game you want your students to play and grab a few common materials that you have on-hand to play (dice, counters, etc).

Target a specific skill that you want your students to practice, as each game focuses on a different 4th grade place value skill. 

Students can play independently as game formats are repeated throughout the bundle. Once your students play that game format once, they will be able to play it again without assistance even when the content changes.  But don’t worry, there are still a variety of game formats to keep students excited!
