This learning menu is designed around the 4th grade weather SOL: 4.6 The student will investigate and understand how weather conditions and phenomena occur and can be predicted. Key concepts include
a) weather phenomena;
b) weather measurements and meteorological tools; and
c) use of weather measurements and weather phenomena to make weather predictions.
This weather unit includes several activities for students to choose from (all customizable). Students have to create a weather book using the vocabulary learned in the unit. They then have the option to complete 3 of the following activities: constructing and playing 2 types of folder games, creating a quiz, completing a web quest, creating a song, watching a video w/worksheet, constructing clouds with cotton balls, making a crossword puzzle, playing a weather game with worksheet, or creating some acrostic poems. I have even included my own portaportal site to access the websites that some of these activities require.

I'm mostly just disappointed that it's only in PDF, and I can't edit it. So it says several times "ask Ms. Hill" or "Get the resource from the blue counter" but my name is not Ms. Hill, and I don't have a blue counter in my room. So I need to be able to edit those parts to say my name. I also found that some of the links are out of date. I'm a little disappointed that I spent $5.00 on a resource that I can't use because it isn't generic, and I can't edit it to work in my classroom, and because it has broken links.
I am having to change this because some of the links are out of date and I need this to work for where we are in Georgia.
