Description

We all know that students need to record, respond and reflect in order to deeply understand any new contact. I find that particularly true in mathematics. Because we live in Virginia, and we have not adopted the Common Core yet, I felt like a resource was missing for us on Teacher Pay Teachers.

I have used math journals for a while, but never stopped to think about putting them together in a product until this summer when I went to do some searching for new tools. There is SO MUCH out there for the Common Core and NOTHING out there for Va. SOLS. I hope that this will help you in some way as you shape your thinking this year.

What's included:

  • writing prompts for your math journal
  • vocabulary prompts for math words
  • eliminate it
  • problem solving
  • reflection stems
  • assessment questions
  • suggestions for notetaking
  • analogies
  • sort, list, lable
  • agree or disagree questions
