5 Point Scale How Big Is My Problem BUNDLE
5 Point Scale is a behavioral support designed to teach difficult social and emotional concepts such as self-regulation and perspective taking. 5 Point Scale is a visual tool used to break down these abstract concepts into concrete parts to assist an individual in learning to more easily identify one’s own emotional states and more effectively manage one’s behavioral responses.
Use this How Big Is My Problem 5 Point Scale to help teach students how to match the size of a problem with the size of their reaction or response to a problem. Students will learn how to identify a problem situation, put it into perspective and come up with some solutions. Through conversation with the student and using this tool, the student learns that all problems do not have equal weight or consequences. Potential solutions or at least actions worth trying depend on the results or consequences that are likely to occur if a particular action is taken. Putting things into perspective and having some prearranged plans can help provide an anxious student with some emotional support, while guiding the student to match the intensity of his/her reaction to the actual size of the problem.
Contains the Following in Color or Black and White:
- How Big Is My Problem 5 Point Scale
- Processing Form that can be used to document problem situations and student reactions, in addition to plans made for future reactions that better match the actual size of the problem
