Description

Call-and-response is a time-tested technique for getting attention, not just in classrooms but in the military, in churches, at sports events, and in traditional cultures in various parts of the world. Instead of repeating yourself, train students to respond to a fun or inspiring statement:

Macaroni...and cheese!

Piece of pie...piece of cake!

Are you focused?...yes, I am!

Can I get a...whoop, whoop!

This product provides 50 call and response ideas that are suitable for a wide range of grade levels and completely customizable. You'll receive them in several forms:

* An editable PowerPoint presentation where you can display a call and response each day for your class to see

* A set of printable cards which you can cut apart and keep handy, selecting a new call-and-response card whenever you'd like. You can edit the printable cards in a separate PowerPoint presentation that's provided, then print out your own customized call-and-responses.

* A set of 50 JPEG images with the call-and-response ideas on them: set the images as your desktop background and program them to change out on a daily basis, or embed the images in documents, websites, or other resources to display for student reference.

NOTE: If you choose to edit the printable cards or use the PowerPoint presentation, you will need to download and install the free KG Why You Gotta Be So Mean font on your computer. OR, you can choose a font you already have, and reformat the text to to fit your desired font choice.

In addition to the above, you'll also receive 2 pages of tips for creating your own call-and-responses and inviting students to create them, as well.

Call-and-response is a FUN way to get kids' attention and keep them engaged. Use this product as a jumping off point for customizing, displaying, and teaching a set of call-and-responses that your students will love!
