Description

This Fifth - Sixth Grade bundle of task cards will engage your students while reviewing important math concepts as whole lessons, math centers, or test prep activities.

This is a growing resource. Right now the bundle contains 23 different sets - covering 23 different topics! Save 50% when you purchase this bundle, and get free updates with every added resource.

All my math task card resources begin with a Minds-On Task to work through with students at the beginning of class, before they work on the task cards. There are 12 task cards in each set – with varying levels of difficulty. All resources also include a student answer page and answer key. As my task cards have evolved, newer sets now include a Learning Goal and Success Criteria Page, Journal Prompt, and Exit Slip / Student Reflection page – everything you need for a full lesson.

Learning Goal and Success Criteria – this page can be posted or

projected before the lesson.

Minds-On Task – this page can be used as a diagnostic, entrance slip, mini lesson, or a full group introduction to the task.

12 Task Cards – these task cards make a great math station or partner activity, or you can also project each card and have students work on whiteboards for a full group activity or exit slip after a lesson. I like to use these to set up a math station or task card scavenger hunt with the cards and have students answer on the provided recording sheet for an easy formative assessment. I like to sit with one of the task cards so each student has to conference with me while they are completing the activity so I can get a quick observation of all students. An answer key is also included.

Journal Prompt – printed 4 to a page for easy photocopying, this journal prompt is designed for students to give a written response to a deep-thinking question. It can also be used as an oral discussion prompt.

Self-Reflection Exit Slip – printed 4 to a page, the exit slip is a quick way to

check if students met the learning goal.
