With this resource you will find a rigorous 5th grade daily math review 100% aligned to the 5th Grade Common Core math standards but suitable to most 5th grade math curriculum.The students will be given a daily number and complete five different exercises that are directly connected to the 5th grade math Common Core standards using the digits in the number. A fun, challenging way to start any math class!
I started using the Daily Interactive Math Notebook with my advanced math students and I could see that they were engaged and challenged during each lesson. As the year progressed, I used this math program with my entire class. Their retention of basic math concepts on a day to day basis greatly increased and their scores increased dramatically as well.
This program may be used every week, bi-weekly or for test-prep weeks before the exam.
Each day's activities are different and cover new standards from the previous day. As a paper saver, I have placed a master copy of each day's review in each student's math folder and they keep that as a template for the entire year while they complete their math work on notebook paper.
I have also included a student checklist of all the CURRENT 5th grade math standards for them to keep in their folders to keep track of their mastery of skills.
