Description

Each of these 5 quizzes are 10 questions. 8 of the questions are multiple choice and 2 of them are free response. They are review of all the previous content taught and progressively add more concepts with each quiz. They are designed using the Texas TEKS, but math is math.

I wrote these quizzes to allow our 5th grade math teachers a chance to assess all skills covered each week in a quick but aligned way. When they are used as a grade each week, they allow the student's averages to accurately reflect the students progress on all skills, not just the current skill being taught. They prevent any surprised when state assessments come around and students have forgotten many of the concepts previously taught.

These quizzes allow you to continuously collect data on where your students are struggling on previously taught material.

These first 5 quizzes focus on whole number place value to the billions, decimal place value to the thousandths place, addition and subtraction of whole numbers and decimals, estimation of sums, differences, and products, and multiplication, beginning division, and relationships in tables.

I will be posting another 5 quizzes soon. If you like what you see, please pass the word to your friends.

I used this resource for tutorials. It helped provide a spiral review for the objectives they had already learned.
