Prepare your students for the 5th Grade math STAAR assessment with this easy to use test prep review! All tested TEKS are covered. The individual resources are broken down by the TEKS. At the end of each resource is a short quiz for an added layer of practice and to collect data. If you are not from Texas, this is still a great end-of-year review for 5th Graders! Below you will find what is in each resource:
Objective 2: You will find 24 matching cards, two worksheets and a quiz with all answer keys. These topics are covered:
- Expanded notation through the thousandths
- Comparing and ordering two decimals to thousandths using < > =
- Rounding to the tenths and hundredths
Objective 3: You will find 12 worksheets and a 6 question quiz. This is a very important objective. On past tests, 1/3 of the questions come from this objective. This resource contains models, short answers, griddables, and matching. These topics are covered:
- Estimation for real world problems involving addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Multiplying fluency practice - 3 digits X 2 digits
- Finding quotients - 3 and 4 digits divided by 2 digits
- Models of decimal multiplication.
- Multiplying decimals in problem solving.
- Quotients of decimals using models.
- Finding quotients of decimals in problem solving.
- Using models to represent addition and subtraction of fractions.
- Using models to multiply a whole number and a fraction.

Objective 4: You will find 6 worksheets and a 5 question quiz. The topics covered are:
- Prime and Composite Numbers
- Writing Equations
- Finding Patterns
- Finding volume and area
- Understanding the use of parenthesis
Objective 5: In this resource you will find 8 shapes on cards. Each pair of students will get a set of cards. The pair will work together to categorize the shapes according to directions that they will see on the smart board. There is a short quiz at the end.
Objective 6: There are three worksheets and a 3 question quiz. This resource covers:
- Understanding how a one cubic unit cube can fit into larger cubes.
- Determining the volume of a rectangular prism given the number of cubes in the first layer.
Objective 7: Covers customary and metric conversions and analysis. There are 3 worksheets and 12 task cards with an answer document.
Objective 8: Covers plotting ordered pairs in quadrant one. You will find six worksheets and a four question quiz.
Objective 9: You will find 4 worksheets and a 2 question quiz. Covers data analysis using:
- Scatter plots
- Dot plots
- Bar graphs
- Stem and leaf plots
Objective 10: You will find 12 task cards, a scenario worksheet and a 3 question quiz that covers financial literacy.
