Description

This editable fifth grade Math Unit Test Bundle contains a total of 8 end of unit math assessments that will measure students’ skills at the end of each of your math units. Six of the unit tests feature both a calculator inactive and calculator active section similar to that of district and state assessments while the 2 additional assessments in the bonus file are only calculator inactive as they cover geometry and graphing/coordinate grid. These math assessments can be used with any strategy!

Each of the standards based assessment includes two versions:

  • The regular version consists of 20 questions. These questions are mostly numeric response questions, not multiple choice.  The 15 questions on the calculator inactive section measure students’ ability to solve themselves, while 5 questions on the calculator active section show if understand how to solve and leverage technology to assist them.

  • The modified version consists of only 15 questions, the majority of which are multiple choice. Intended to be used with students participating in math with accommodations, there are 10 questions on the calculator inactive section and 5 questions on the calculator active section.

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Measure volumes by counting unit cubes, using cubic cm, cubic in, cubic ft, and improvised units.
