Teaching style

Learning needs to be engaging and fun for both the student and the teacher. I love a hands-on approach and enjoy integrating subject matter. I often include reading informational text articles along with my hands-on science lessons. I think they complement each other well, and the hands-on science makes the students curious and interested in reading the informational text to find out more about the topic.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have won two awards for my research presentation on Interactive Notebooks. In 2020 I won the Faculty Excellence Award for Outstanding Teaching at Utah Valley University.
