Description
This Solutions poster is designed to aide students in understanding that solutions are special mixtures. Once substances are combined, they cannot be separated. Students should also understand that when a substance is dissolved, the substance does not disappear. The substance is there and students can tell by the taste of the solution.
The Texas TEK (5.5D) is listed within the poster inlcuding if the TEK is a Readiness or Supporting Standard. The verb is in red and the nouns are in blue. Key vocabulary is in green.
Students should be read the TEK before the lesson begins. The teacher and the students should discuss the TEK; the students need to understand that the verb is what they have to do once the teacher is finished with the lesson. The nouns include, but are not limited to, the vocabulary contained within the lesson.
Once I created the poster, I used a poster maker to blow-up the original size (8.5 x 11) to a true poster size document. I hung the Solutions poster at the front of my class and used this method as the ENGAGE part of my lesson. I allowed students to use the poster as a "cheat" throughout the lesson. Once I was finished with the unit, I took the Solutions poster down to begin a new unit.

Great resource!
Used this to make a larger anchor chart and a smaller one for their notebooks. Great resource.
My students find this anchor chart engaging. It looks great in my classroom. I get a lot of questions about it.
