This passage about Harriet's life illustrates why she is one of the bravest people to ever live. It is 1,016 words and is written at a sixth-grade reading level.

Collaboration Activity

These questions will guide students as they discuss brave things that Harriet did during her life.

Writing Prompt

In part 1 of the prompt, students will summarize why Harriet risked her life to help slaves escape to freedom. In part 2 of the prompt, students will describe a time when they did something brave.
