6th Grade Common Core Math Standards: 6.EE.1

These are the notes I use for my 6th grade students on powers and exponents. This is an introductory lesson that includes vocabulary, writing expressions as powers, finding the value of powers and identifying perfect squares.

I have included two different options in this document. One that is scaffolded and one that is completed entirely. You can use the two different versions to best meet the needs of all your learners!
