Description
I teach my middle school class five common English idioms a day for fifteen consecutive school days. This is a great warmup to start a language arts period, a real "piece of cake" that the kids "get a kick out of."
Included are:
1) Teaching guidelines and tips (based on years of experience) for using the list effectively and making sure your students learn them well.
2) The list of 75 very common and useful English idioms along with complete and easy-to-use definitions.
3) A Mid-Course Review Quiz to give after the first 15 idioms and another Mid-Course Review Quiz on the first 45 idioms (with answers).
4) The Final Exam (with answers) where students fill in the blank in a sentence with one of the idioms.

This is a great resource to use for my Spanish speaking students. They caught on right away.
