DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

The actual download you will receive is a Zip file. From there you will have access to all 40+ student pages via a PDF or the 43 editable files in a PowerPoint file.

The student pages include -

  • Bowling planning sheet
  • Various pricing sheets
  • Bowling invites
  • Estimating costs
  • Researching costs
  • Example schedule, packages, and snack bar menu (from fictional Trinity Lanes Bowling)
  • Total costs
  • Bowling Schedule
  • Bowling alley questions (2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade specific questions)
  • Financial literacy - Earning Income & Buying Goods and Services
  • Scoring a Bowling Game (which is the only part of this download WITH an answer key)
  • AND MORE!

You will want to look through the entire resource before printing any pages. Based on the math needs of your students, you can choose to print out specific pages for an entire class or pages specific to individual needs. Or you can open the editable file and make the sheets work exactly the way YOU want them to!

Due to the various numbers in this download, an answer key and rubric are NOT included. This is a very open-ended resource.

This download is great as a math project-based learning activity at any point during the school year. But, if you are looking for an engaging activity to do before a break or after state testing, then this download would be perfect!

I recommend meeting with students as they work through the worksheets. This way you can grade on the go, teach additional strategies, give tips, extend the learning for those who need it, reteach, and more.

Bring financial literacy and real life math to life for your second, third, fourth, and fifth graders with this great download. I'm sure your students will love it!

My students found this engaging! This group is hard to keep focused, but they thought this was fun. Some areas were a little tricky, but we just worked through those together. I will use again next year for sure.
