Description

This resource is a great way to allow students to use technology and get immeditate feedback! Plus there is no grading for the teacher or passing out papers!

Get this as part of my: 7th Grade Math Google Classroom Bundle

This prodcut contains 10 Digital Task Cards over the 7.SP.6 standard over probability of chance events and relative frequency given the probability. Each question is multiple choice. This is a great way to check for student understanding without having to grade! It also gives automatic feedback to each student when they finish answering so they can easily see how they did and what concepts they need to work on.

7.SP.6 - Approximate the probability of a chance event by collecting data on the chance process that produces it and observing its long-run relative frequency, and predict the approximate relative frequency given the probability.

The product file is a simple PDF with a link to my Google Drive folder where you can copy the task cards for your own use.

The task cards are perfect for laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, and tablets of all brands and operating systems!

The concept of this resource is great! I loved the ease of copying the Google Form and making the it available for my students as well as the variety of questions (general probability question, relative frequency questions, and approximation questions). Unfortunately, I had to delete the questions with the spinners because all of them were non-uniform. With this being their first time practicing this concept and them working on it without usual in-class support, I would have appreciated the sections of the spinner at least being equal on some of the questions so students are able to count the favorable outcomes out of the total number of outcomes then easing their way into relying on visual representations to determine probability.

Approximate the probability of a chance event by collecting data on the chance process that produces it and observing its long-run relative frequency, and predict the approximate relative frequency given the probability. For example, when rolling a number cube 600 times, predict that a 3 or 6 would be rolled roughly 200 times, but probably not exactly 200 times.
