Description
1. This bundle contains 4 activities. 1st is a standards-based, digital escape room math activity, students practice all operations with rational numbers. Students add, subtract, multiply and divide rational numbers. This aligns with CCSS 7th grade math and includes negatives, fractions and decimals.
- Students unlock 4 locks plus a bonus 5th lock, each of which contains 4 problems. Great for 7th Grade, 8th Grade and high school review. A GIF appears on each lock only after students successfully decode each lock. This product is in my 7th Grade DIGITAL Escape Room BUNDLE.
- -- Teacher Dashboard & Data:
- Not only will students receive basic feedback for correctness on their end; you will instantly be able to view student data in a snapshot on the free teacher dashboard (all digital) to determine gaps and misconceptions. This will help you support student learning via small groups, 1 on 1 support, or whole group.
- A check mark symbol (on the teacher dashboard) indicates correct answer, whereas "x" indicates incorrect. The dashboard shows the entire class - all students - while also showing their correctness at the same time. Progress monitoring data are essential in order to drive decisions around whether students are meeting the standards and learning goals, all while students are engaging in some fun!
- Directions are provided on a slide and also on a short video in the activity. Super easy to implement and straightforward using Desmos, a free and user-friendly platform. Help your students have fun while engaging in mathematics. Pull students in breakout rooms or small groups to support struggling learners!
2. Although the 2nd product aligns more with 6th Grade standards, I'm including it in the bundle because 7th graders can still benefit - use as a 7th Grade pre-assessment or middle school review of rational numbers, or for frontloading. It is a digital escape room where students practice graphing rational numbers on a number line (by matching), comparing rational numbers, and ordering rational numbers from least to greatest. Students unlock 4 locks, each of which contain 4 problems.
3. This auto-graded, digital assessment can be used as a 7th Grade Rational Numbers Test, quiz, review, class work, home work, formative assessment or pre and post assessment. Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing rational numbers, including mixed numbers, positives and negatives, converting a fraction to decimal, and and converting a decimal to fraction. Contains 2 versions!
- There are a total of 11 multiple choice questions and students take the assessment online using Desmos, a free platform. Each question has a box where students are prompted to show their work (if you want them to). It's up to you if you want to analyze their work on these problems - the score at the end will only capture their multiple choice responses; not their work shown. Instructions are provided on how to use Demsos in the slides (from the purchase) and preview.
- The assessment is editable! This may impact the auto-grading feature, but you can add or delete questions. For example, you can add free-response questions where students explain their thinking or show their work.
4. Ignite engagement as you review 7th Grade Math operations with rational numbers, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing fractions and decimals. Perfect for math test prep and creating a fun, engaging learning environment, this is a cooperative learning, review game group activity, and aligned to the Common Core Standards. Students engage in problem solving, team building and strategize to earn the most points in order to win.
No prep - just print and go! NOT DIGITAL - It's only printable
- In this Regressive Point review game, students are in groups. They need to show work in a notebook while answering the questions. The problems can be answered in any order they'd like, which is part of the strategy.
- The first group who correctly answers each problem will earn the highest possible points for that problem. For example, if Group C answers #3 first, they will earn the highest number of points for that problem. If Group F is the 2nd group to answer #3, they will earn the 2nd highest possible points, and so on.
- In the end, the group with the highest number of total points will win 1st place. The group with the 2nd highest number of points will earn 2nd place, and so on. You can give the top-performing groups prizes, extra credit, or other rewards.
- Each 7th grade standard on the Number System - Operations with Rational Numbers - is addressed, except for explaining why the rule works for multiplying and dividing with negatives. Feel free to modify the game by adding questions, removing questions, etc. I recommend not allowing calculators.
- Directions for the teacher and students are provided on a Microsoft Word Document. Use the data to inform instruction. For example, after the game, use the data to form small groups to support struggling learners and/or differentiate instruction.
