Description

This is the most unique and meaningful bellwork and bellringers you will find! These warmups are spiral, but instead of a daily review it is a spiral weekly review. I designed this so that you do not have a mini-lesson every day, but instead focus each week on a skill so students can have repeated practice for mastery. The weekly document is made to be printed where half sheets are glued into notebooks. There is a checklist included so you do not have to do these in oder- you can check off as you go.

Students have a theme Monday-Thursday and on Friday there is a quiz. The quiz is made up of one question from each day. The quiz is on a Google Form™ but you can also print this out if you wish to have students complete it on paper.

There are 34 weeks of bellwork.

Each week's topic is listed below:

  • Week 1 Converting Fractions to Decimals
  • Week 2 Add and Subtract Integers
  • Week 3 Multiply/Divide Integers
  • Week 4 Rational Operations: Multiply and Divide Decimals
  • Week 5 Rational Operations: Add and Subtract Decimals
  • Week 6 Simplify Expressions: Distributive Property
  • Week 7 1 Step Equations: Add/Subtract

Having prepped bell work for the year has been a true game-changer for my class and my sanity. I love that each week has only one topic so I can review/reteach it on Monday, they practice throughout the week, and I give a quarter sheet of paper with a similar problem on Friday to see who has mastered the skill. To keep students from completing the problems all at once, I white out some of the numbers from each day before copying and then project the day's box on the board as they enter the class.
