How to Use This Resource:

🔵 I used these exit tickets in my own classroom and loved how they were quick and easy to grade and I could give written feedback to students who made mistakes.

🔵 During warm-up time the following day, I would have quick 1-on-1 conversations with students to correct misconceptions.

🔵 I could also briefly pull a small group of students who made similar mistakes and talk it through with them.

🔵 These exit tickets will help you know where your students are at and give them meaningful feedback.

🔵 You will also learn a lot about your own teaching as you notice trends in the types of mistakes students are making.

Impact on Your Students:

🟣 Your students can keep their graded exit tickets as a study tool and reference throughout a unit.

🟣 Your students will have more confidence going into the next lesson after they receive feedback from you on their exit ticket!

Solve linear equations in one variable.
Give examples of linear equations in one variable with one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions. Show which of these possibilities is the case by successively transforming the given equation into simpler forms, until an equivalent equation of the form 𝘹 = 𝘢, 𝘢 = 𝘢, or 𝘢 = 𝘣 results (where 𝘢 and 𝘣 are different numbers).
Solve linear equations with rational number coefficients, including equations whose solutions require expanding expressions using the distributive property and collecting like terms.
