Description
These 8th grade math stations are just what you need to help your students develop a deep understanding of mathematics. The focus of these math stations is for students to discover and apply mathematical principles. The students will dive into the mathematics and gain a strong foundation. These cover various topics such as graphing linear equations, volume of cones and spheres, exponent properties, congruence, similarity and more
These stations are set to take one to two class periods. These are great for group work but also work well as homework, assessments or individual work. Included in all stations is a recording sheet and answer sheet.
Included in each Product:
- Stations
- Recording sheets for students
- Answer sheets
Included in this Math Bundle
- Congruence and Similarity
- Exponent Rules
- Graphing Linear Equations
- Scatter Plots
- Systems of Equations
- Volume of Cones and Spheres Stations
Check out what educators are saying
I loved this station activity. My students were so engaged during the activity. They were all able to learn the exponent properties and review the parts they didn't remember. I really liked how the examples showed them to expand and either regroup or simplify the fractions rather than just teaching the shortcut rules.
- Exponent Properties Stations
This really helped create an in-depth conversation about the difference between similarity and congruence.
- Congruence and Similarity Math Stations
What makes these different than other math stations available?
Make Sense of Math stations are created with the intent that students will conceptually understand the mathematical concepts. These math stations are not simply "busy work" worksheets. Students will write, model, justify, create, explain and practice the mathematics.
