Class Notebook-This is a guide to help you and your students create an interactive notebook that they will use all year long! There are many different versions of interactive notebooks out there and after using them in my own classroom for the last 4 years this format has worked the best for me. I actually have 2 separate notebooks that students use, the guide here is for the interactive notebook that the students keep with them all the time, and they also keep a lab journal that stays in the classroom. I will be updating and adding those files later so be sure to follow me to see the new products as they roll out! These files are as a word document to allow you to customize them for your classes and/or subjects. They are designed to fit a college ruled composition notebook, I have found that these hold up the best and in general only require one for the whole year. Lab Notebook-This guide is meant to set up a lab notebook for 8th grade science as a companion to the interactive classroom notebook. I have been using interactive notebooks in my classroom for the last 4 years and this method I have found the most effective. It allows me to take more time in grading labs and give more genuine feedback on student entries without disrupting the class flow by having the class notebooks turned in. The pages are designed to be used with composition notebooks as these have proven to be the most durable for the length of a school year.
