Description

This is a collection of 95, yes, you heard it correctly, 95 different "equation search" puzzles that target different kinds of computational strategies. There are actually 15 or so different puzzle types, with 6 different iterations (that is, same puzzle with different numbers.) So if your students need additional practice, you can have them do more of them. Actually, I've automated all these puzzles to generate random numbers, but that' another matter.

For example, there is a search sheet where students look at a number in the center square and then find another number in the surrounding square that is 9 away. The point of this is to isolate the "plus 9, minus 9" strategy, which involves adding or subtracting 10, and move up or down by 1. There's also lots of "equation searches" where students locate and record groups of numbers that equal a "target number" like 10, 13, 20 or 25.

Hey, they're a lot more interesting than those cruddy worksheets you're giving out and at a less than a nickel each, how could you go wrong?
