A Million Dots Math Center Project Using the Internet
Share

Description

This is a fun math project to use during center time or simply as an enrichment project in your classroom. To use, simply borrow or buy the book A Million Dots by Andrew Clements. Read this book aloud to your class and then, tell them they will be replicating the pages with fascinating facts when you give them a number range. They will need to search the web to find a fact that fits in the number range you have given them. A great way to get young minds excited about numbers and thinking about random facts that would encompass their number ranges. A very cute book and a fun project in my classroom. Check out my other math center ideas! Enjoy.

As a media specialist, I work with a small group of students for enrichment. This activity is perfect for integrating math-place value and research skills. Thank you.
