Description
This slideshow contains 4 introductory slides about the purpose and history of AAPI Heritage Month (May) as well as 30 individual slides featuring prominent and lesser known individuals of the AAPI community. Each of the individual slides includes the person's name, a picture, and a brief description of their contribution to American history. The individuals chosen represent Chinese-, Japanese-, Indian-, Pacific Islander, Filipino-, Sikh-, and Korean-Americans and range from artists to authors to musicians and scientists, past and present. The final slide asks the viewers who they would choose to include in the slideshow. The slideshow could be run on a loop over school televisions or class websites during the month of May, or be used by teachers as a resource to celebrate AAPI Heritage. The format is downloadable as a Powerpoint or as a Google Slide and can be revised.
