Description

Keep your students engaged and motivated by creating an end-of-the-year ABC countdown! This packet includes both black/white AND colored versions of the following:

*Strips of paper with 54 activity ideas (Black/White AND in color)
*Blank strips for you to write your own ideas or special school-related activities
*26 countdown circles (alphabet) to put on balloons or envelopes

*SLIDES! Each strip has as corresponding slide with the letter & day. Each slide has speaker notes with ideas on how to implement that day. Several days have additional slides to use - crafts, videos, books, songs, exercises, etc.

How To Implement:

FIRST: Choose your 26 activities - one for each letter of the alphabet. I have given you some ideas as well as blank strips to write your own activities on.

SECOND: Print the activity strips, cut them out, and roll them so they will fit into a balloon.

THIRD: Put each activity in the corresponding balloon, blow up the balloon, and tape the letter on.

DISPLAY: Hang the balloons in your room. You can tape them to the wall, staple the end of the balloon to a bulletin board, hang them on string, or any other creative way you think of!

COUNT DOWN: Each day (or the day before), pop one balloon with your class and do the corresponding activity!

ALTERNATIVE: If you do not want to use balloons, you can use envelopes attached to the bulletin board or in a basket.

PARENTS: I have given parents the list of all activities beforehand, but asked them to keep the activities a surprise! This way, they can get supplies if necessary.
