Teach alphabetical order and increase vocabulary at the same time!
This includes 6 sets of alphabetical order activity cards. Each set has twelve cards and each card has 5 words and a picture clue for each word. The sets are divided by difficulty level making it easy to differentiate instruction. Set one is for beginners, set two is basic and easy, set three is simple to the second letter, set four is to the second letter twice on one card, set five is challenging to the 3rd letter, and set 6 is difficult to the 3rd letter plus.
Very diverse you may use these cards as a whole group activity, in small groups, with partners, or as a center for independent practice.
Great for ELL students as each word has a picture clue to assist the reader.
Students take one card and arrange the five words into alphabetical order and then they switch to the next card and apply the strategy to the new words until they have completed all twelve cards in the set. As the students skills improve they move up a level in the cards to more challenging words.
