Description
Do you need a quick way to assess your students' ability to put words in alphabetical order? Or to practice in class? Here it is!
☞ You will receive a pdf with a link to make your own copy of the ABC Order Practice Google Slides.
This resource is a set of 5 Google Slides that contain 6 moveable words on each slide that students can click and drag to put words in ABC order. They can be used one slide per day or as one whole assignment.
It works on touchscreen computers, iPads, and even phones that have the free Google Slides app.
The words used are from the Dolch list.
The font is easy to read.
The bottom of the slide contains the alphabet in all capital letters.
Widescreen format to utilize the whole screen when using a computer.
The difficulty increases each with each successive slide.
- first slide is words that all start with different letters across the alphabet
- second slide is words that start with different letters, but those letters are near each other (you know how sometimes you have to think about defgh and write them down? Am I the only one? )
- third and fourth slides are words that start with the same letter
- fifth slide contains words that all have the same first and second letter, so students must alphabetize by the third letter
✔ You can differentiate by assigning all or some of the ABC order slides to students to complete
✔ These slides are great candidates to be turned into a Nearpod using the easy Add-On for Google Drive products
✔ They can be linked in Google Classroom, Canvas and most other LMS
✔ You can project them on a screen as a class activity for you (or call a student up) to click and drag the word that comes next.
Enjoy!
