This is a great resource for students needing either an introduction or an overall review of pythagorean theorem.

Check out the contents of this ACT Pythagorean Theorem Activity:

✏️ Questions #1-6 (optional): These questions require students to demonstrate basic knowledge about the ACT math section (i.e. allotted time, number of questions, etc)

✏️ Questions #7-10 (optional): These questions require students to demonstrate conceptual knowledge about the pythagorean theorem

✏️ Questions #11-15 (required): These questions require students to solve ACT-style practice problems

✏️ The Google Form is set up so that questions #1-10 are optional review and questions #11-15 are required

✋ How would you suggest using this resource? 

  • This is my "Level 1" form, so these practice questions are at a beginner level. I use this form as the first assignment when reteaching these concepts for the ACT Math exam. Then, I move onto more challenging practice problems.
  • When uploading this as a "quiz assignment" in Google Classroom, I include the following instructions for my students: After you answer questions #1-10 (optional), you should set a timer and do questions #11-15 (required). I suggest using a nondigital wristwatch to practice and setting a timer at a distance for the overall allotted times below. 
    • 5 minutes - regular time
    • 7.5 minutes - extended time
