Description
Basic Graph Practice or Assessment on Google Slides Using Average Temperatures per Month in Southwestern Connecticut MODIFIABLE
Individual or class practice (or assessment) in generating a simple line or bar graph (can change the Month data from a number to words e.g. January, February).
Do a quick walk around to gauge where student support or reinforcement may be needed for graphing skills. This knowledge is important for planning experiments that generate data and require results to be expressed in a graph. Or Assign it for Homework. Are your students familiar with the x and y axis? Can they label the graph based on the data table? How accurately do they plot data? In my experience, students sometimes say they know how to graph data but often need a refresher in some areas. My purposes were to assess graphing knowledge to tailor my science teaching and experiments as needed. I also used it for practice.
Included
- Individual activity (Can be Used As Class Activity)
- Worksheet with data table & grid for graph
- Blank Worksheet for your use
- Answer Key
- Basic Graphing Rubric
Please keep in mind that I am a science teacher with math experience. If you are a math teacher and have additional input, kindly email as keeping positive reviews is a priority.
My goal is to give teachers back some personal time with the minimal purchase of this resource. I hope you find it helpful.
