This bundle includes all of my current "text intensive" resources for Biology. Included is 5 quizzes and 2 activities. If you are looking to increase scientific literacy in your classroom this year this bundle is a great place to start. Try using the strategies suggested by Reading Apprenticeship at WestEd (https://readingapprenticeship.org/) as your students tackle the text and text features.

In my experience, incorporating challenging text in my science classroom was, hands down, the BEST thing I ever did for my students. Putting these texts in front of them does more than show you how "well" they can read. It shows you how they approach a problem which, let's face it, is science! Tackling two problems at once: teaching my students good reading and comprehensive skills AND assessing their science knowledge was a win, win for me!
