Description
Do your students need extra practice with equilibrium calculations and ice tables? Try using this Equilibrium Mat and task card set that will provide students with a guided process for solving equilibrium constants and concentrations at equilibrium. This resource includes a Mat that can be printed on 11x17 paper and laminated. One side of the mat is designed for calculating the value of the equilibrium constant, while the other side is designed for calculating equilibrium concentrations. The 24 task cards include:
- calculating the equilibrium constant using equilibrium concentrations or pressures
- calculating the equilibrium constant using initial and equilibrium amounts in an ice table
- determining the concentrations of reactants and products at equilibrium when given initial values and the value of K
- Students will not need to use a quadratic equation. Some of these problems will allow students to use the perfect-square method, while the rest will allow students to approximate, as the value of K<<1.
This product contains one double-sided Equilibrium Mat and 24 cards in either a color version or an ink-saving version. You will print the mats and task cards, and I also recommend laminating for durability. The task cards can be printed 1-sided (just questions) or 2-sided (questions + answers).
