Description

Direct, focused, and skill-based multiple-choice test prep can be difficult to find and implement in the classroom. Use this AP Language and Composition exam prep unit to focus solely on MCQ skill category one: analyzing the rhetorical situation. Not only will students be able to assess their own mastery by taking an authentic rhetorical analysis and comprehension AP-style multiple-choice quiz, but they will receive a focused PPT lesson on important skill concepts, work through vocabulary building, and reflect on their progress by completing remediation activities - all of which aim to help them pass their AP Lang exam at the end of the year.

    • Guided Notes - to allow students to easily and quickly take notes on the information
  • Excerpt from Leslie Silko's essays on Native American life (to serve as the reading passage)
  • 10 authentic, AP-Style multiple-choice quiz questions focused solely on skill category one - analyzing the rhetorical situation
  • A Vocabulary Building Worksheet - to help students master unknown words that might hinder their performance on the test
  • A Reflection Activity - for students to work through their right and wrong answers, reflecting on the concepts they either mastered or failed to master

I found every bit of this resource to be thorough and effective. Providing the appropriate background info, as well as step-by-step introduction to skills, this is exactly what I was looking for.
