Classifiers & Spatial Language • Weather Vocabulary & Following Directions

Build receptive and expressive American Sign Language (ASL) skills with this engaging Describe & Draw activity focused on weather concepts. Students follow signed descriptions to complete a scene using elements such as sun, clouds, rain, snow, lightning, wind, and more.

This resource is designed to support visual-spatial language development through structured yet flexible activities. Prompts are provided in written English and are intended to be signed by the teacher or students, allowing for natural use of classifiers, spatial mapping, and non-manual markers during instruction.

A variety of formats make this resource easy to implement across instructional settings, including whole group, partner work, centers, and independent practice.
