Description
Get students moving and signing with this interactive ASL Find Someone Who: Spring Edition activity. Students walk around the room asking classmates questions in ASL to find individuals who match each spring-themed prompt. This activity builds conversational skills through peer interaction while reinforcing question formation and comprehension.
To support differentiation and varied language levels, two versions of the student worksheet are included:
- English Version — Students read prompts in English and generate the ASL questions independently.
- ASL Gloss Version — Prompts are written in ASL gloss to support direct question production and receptive practice.
Providing both formats allows teachers to scaffold instruction, support mixed-level classrooms, and give students access to visual ASL language models while practicing the same spring-themed content.
To extend learning, a WH Follow-Up Challenge is included, allowing students to deepen conversations by asking who, what, where, and why questions and recording responses.
