Description
Trying to prep your students for the SAT but you struggle with math yourself? This resource includes a printable page full of basic math problems that your students need to know to do well on the math section of the SAT. Many students lack the basic math skills they need to succeed on the math section of the SAT and they need to practice. This can be difficult when you, yourself, do not know where to start!
The resource helps you know where to start. I’ve written out the math to solve each problem so you can demonstrate for your students!
Don’t fear math. Be confident and spread that confidence to your students!
Here’s what you’ll get:
- 1 page of assigned math problems broken into categories for SAT success
- The math for each problem is done out by hand in clear writing so you can demonstrate to your students
- Answers to each of the math problems
Ideas for use:
This resource can be done as an independent activity or homework assignment in your AVID 9-11 classes. I used this in my AVID 10 class as a warm up for students to practice one problem per day and then we would do the math together. This can also be done in pairs or small groups with students working together. This can also be a great resource for students who do not have an AVID Tutorial Question for Tutorials that day. We know this happens in the AVID classroom and this is a great resource for on-hand Tutorial Questions for students to create a TRF.
